Business Development Manager

We are looking for a talented and experienced Business Development Manager with government contracting experience to drive growth and expand our portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, responding to RFPs, building strong relationships with clients and partners, and achieving sales targets.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets
- Identify new business opportunities and potential clients through market research, networking, and other means
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners to grow business revenue
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute targeted sales strategies
- Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing deals
- Analyze market trends and competition to inform business development strategies
- Monitor and report on sales performance and provide recommendations for improvement

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
- Proven experience (5 years) as a Business Development Manager or similar role
- Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with both government and commercial clients and partners
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team


Note:  This position is considered Hybrid regrading in-office requirements.  We are only seeking candidates local to the MD area.


Note:  Commission and Bonus Structure is in addition to Base Salary.
